United Russia Party forms working group for interethnic and inter-religious affairs

The United Russia Party is planning to hold the first session of the
working group for interethnic and inter-religious affairs. The
structure is headed by Dmitry Anatolyevich Zhuravlyov, Director of the
Institute for Regional Problems. One of the group's goals is the
formation of a consultative council of the Moscow mayor.


Sultan Sultanovich Khamzayev, deputy head of the working group, said
that it is the first such high-ranking project for such a wide-ranging
audience. Contacting the group is possible through an online
community.


Communities will be opened on such social websites as VKontakte
(Committee for Interethnic and Inter-religious Affairs), Facebook,
Twitter (@KMMOEDRO). Khamzayev told Vestnik Kavkaza that one of the
main goals is receiving impartial information from people themselves.
Besides representatives of public organizations and state officials,
regular sessions of the working group will invite fans, nationalists,
anti-fascists and ultra-left members.


A wide range of experts will attend the working group. This includes
V.V. Pozdeyev, head of the Moscow School of United Russia, B.G.
Litvak, representative of the Expert League of Administrators, Y.V.
Moskovsky, Secretary of the Socio-Consulting Council of the Federal
Migration Service in Moscow, R.F. Gadzhi Nukhiyevich Makhachev,
representative of the Dagestani president, Y.V. Gerasimov, a member of
parliament, A.A. Ignatenko, deputy head of the Directorate for Links
with Religious Organizations of the Moscow government, M.V. Pilshikov,
head of the Moscow office of the Assembly of Russian Peoples and B.S.
Yesenkin, President of the Biblio Globus trading network.


The working group will see representatives of Dagestan, Chechnya,
Kabardino-Balkaria, Ingushetia, Ossetia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan,
Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Karachay-Cherkessia. Archpriest Vsevolod
Chaplin, head of the PR office of the Russian Orthodox Church, will
also be at the meeting. The Russian Mufti Administration and the
Jewish Community will attend the session.
