Chairman of Russian Investigation Committee wants activation on cases in North Caucasus

Chairman of the Russian Investigation Committee Alexander Bastrykin order activation of investigation in the North Caucasus, ITAR-TASS cites spokesman of the committee Vladimir Markin as saying.


Bastrykin had a meeting in Vladikavkaz. He was informed about the case on murder of the investigation chief of Dagestan, Alibekov, murder of the head of the North Caucasian Institute for Theology and International Relations, Maksud Sadikov, and his nephew Zelimkhan Musayev, murder of 8 in Stavropol. Bastrykin was informed about kidnapping and murder of Natalya Estemirova, employee of the Memorial human rights center, Islam Umarpashayev, kidnapped in December 2009 and released in April 2010, murder of Garun Kurbanov, Dagestani president's head of the press-service and the department for information policy.


Bastrykin viewed information on the terrorist attack at the central market of Vladikavkaz in September 2010 and murder of 12 at Kushevskaya village of the Krasnodar Territory in November 2010.
