The Supreme Council of Adjara has approved the new Cabinet, presented
by the head of the government, Levan Varshalomidze, Trend reports.
The new strategy of Adjara was also considered. It will be in force
for 9 months. It priotizes the economy, road construction, renewable
energy sources and development of culture and education.
Deputy Nugzar Putkaradze demanded Varshalomidze to provide state
property protection. Christian Democrat Zaza Shashikadze demanded
housing for the border guards of Kobuleti, Khichauri and
Adzharistskali. Varahslomidze promised to solve the issues in a few
months.
Vice-Speaker Niaz Zosidze demanded housing for citizens suffering from
disasters. Varshalomidze said that about 2 million laris were spent to
help them. The region will have 9,000 apartments built. The Supreme
Council will issue a new report in a month.
