Issuing neutral identity cards and road documents to Abkhaz and South Ossetian residents will begin from late August, Trend reports.
ID cards will be filled in Georgian and Abkhazian and Georgian and Ossetian languages, Georgian Justice Ministry sais. The first page will indicate name and surname of owner, date of birth, serial number and photo. The second page will indicate the organization issuing document, date of issuing and signature of owner. Georgia’s national symbols will not be indicated on the ID card.
Neutral ID cards will be issued only for Abkhazian and South Ossetian residents.
Unlike neutral ID cards, neutral road documents will be filled in only in English. It will consist of 32 pages and will contain country code in addition to owner data. It will have an effect until restoration of Georgia’s jurisdiction throughout the country.
