Kazakhstan holds joint training with NATO

Kazakhstan's peacekeeping groups of Kazbrig and Kazbat, US and British
troops will hold the training "Steppe Eagle-2011" in the Ilyinsky
range of the Alma-Ata District, ITAR-TASS reports.

The previous training was held in 2003. This year there will be
servicemen from Lithuania, Kyrgyzstan and possibly Tajikistan.

Training will involve helicopters, the navy, air defenses, military
police and students of the Military Institute of the Kazakh Defense
Ministry.

Training will also be held at the Shoshkala range, and the landing
zone of Novo-Iliyskaya and the Bereg training center.
Over 1400 people will be involved.
