Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has awarded the Tenth Special
Brigade of the Defense Ministry with the Order of Zhukov for the
operation in South Ossetia in 2008, RIA Novosti reports.
The order was initiated in May 1994. It is awarded to officers for
development and execution of major military operations.
The Tenth Special Brigade was formed in May 2003. It is a
reconnaisance unit of the Southern Military District.
