Transnistrian leader offers condolences on 3rd anniversary of S.Ossetia attack

Transnistrian leader Igor Smirnov has sent a telegram to President of
South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity, in which he expressed his condolences on
the third anniversary of the attack by Georgia, RIA Novosti reports,
citing to the press service of the Transnistrian leadership.

Smirnov believes that in those terrible days, only a decisive Russian
intervention managed to stop the genocide of the people of South
Ossetia.

"The immediate recognition of the independence of South Ossetia was a
reliable guarantee of security and stability in the region," reads the
telegram.
