Assad to implement reforms and calm demonstrators

Syria will continue fighting armed terrorist groups, the president of the country Bashar Assad said during a meeting with the foreign minister of Turkey, Ahmet Davutoglu, who visited Damascus yesterday, ANS reported.

“The country is ready to follow wide-scale reforms and to receive any help from friendly countries in this sphere,” Assad stated.

The Turkish minister noted that Turkey is interested in the security and stability of Syria.

Davutoglusaid that Syria under the leadership of Assad will be a model for the Arab world after the reforms adopted by Damascus. Stability in Syria is a basis for stability in the region.

Earlier, it was reported that the head of the foreign ministry of Turkey had plans to give a last warning to Assad from Prime Minister Erdogan.
