The president of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, visited Sochi yesterday at the invitation of Russian president Dmitry Medvedev. The heads of both countries highly appraised bilateral relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia, Trendreports, citing the head of the foreign affairs department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, Novruz Mamedov.
“The presidents shared views on various regional and international issues and discussed the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the process of negotiations in this direction. The position of the presidents is that the negotiations should continue,” Mamedov said.
Meanwhile, President Aliyev stated that the authorities of Armenia are showing their insincerity in laying the blame for ineffectiveness of the talks on Azerbaijan.
