Kyrgyzstan considers ties with Turkic states priority goal

The Kyrgyz Minister for Culture and Information, Nurlambek Shakiyev,
is attending the Second Youth Forum of CIS Intellectuals in Issyk-Kul
in Kyrgyzstan, SalamNews reports.


He noted that Kyrgyzstan will hold a cultural festival in Azerbaijan
and an Azerbaijani festival in Kyrgyzstan. There are regular contacts
with the Azerbaijani embassy in Kyrgyzstan. More active work is
expected in 2012.


Relations with Turkic states are a priority for Kyrgyzstan. This
includes Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and
other states.


Concerning humanitarian integration in the CIS space, Shakiyev said
that the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS had
noted a high cooperation activity level. One of the initiatives is the
youth forum in Issyk-Kul.


The interstate fund’s CEO is Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia, Polad
Bulbul ogly.
