CSTO right not to send troops to south Kyrgyzstan: Bordyuzha:

The decision not to send the CSTO peacekeeping forces (Organization of
Collective Security Treaty) to the south of Kyrgyzstan last year
during the ethnic clashes between Kyrgyz and Uzbeks was well thought
out and right, said the Secretary General of the Organization Nikolay
Bordyuzha, Trend reports.

Bordyuzha said that the further development of events in the south,
confirmed that the decision was right. The CSTO helped the security
forces of Kyrgyzstan to provide support at local operations aimed at
stabilizing the situation, he added.

Increasing the efficiency of the organization was a major topic of
discussion last Friday in the informal summit of the CSTO. Belarus as
the chairman of the CSTO in 2011, aims to transform the Organization
into a military-political bloc, immediately ready to render help in a
crisis situation.
