Armenian opposition agrees to continue talks with government

The Armenian National Congress (ANC) has held a fifth round of talks
with the ruling coalition. Members of the delegation had little to
tell journalists after the meeting and avoided giving comments,
Armenia Today reports.

Coordinator of the ANC Levon Zurabyan and head of the working
delegation of the ruling coalition David Arutyunyan said that the
sides agreed to continue their dialogue on August 19. Zurabyan said
that the main topic of discussions at the latest round of talks was an
incident between the police and ANC members on August. Discussions
will continue on Firday.

David Arutyunyan noted that the coalition had prepared
counter-arguments on ANC's statements regarding early elections. The
topic has not been discussed yet.

ANC press-secretary Arman Musinyan said that the fate of dialogue will
depend on the status of arrested activists.
