Ingushetia is actively preparing documents for the Ministry for
Regional Development to have the republic put on the list of tourism
and recreation zones of the North Caucasus, Ingush Leader Yunus-Bek
Yevkurov said today, ITAR-TASS reports.
Yevkurov said that the concept for development of Ingush tourism
received 38-40 billion rubles from the federal budget for construction
of about 100 facilities, including road and transport infrastructure.
80% of documents have been prepared.
The Jeyrakhsky District of Ingushetia will have skiing and
ethnic-cultural zones. Old soviet tourism routes are planned to be
restored and updated. The area will develop rafting, climbing and hang
gliding.
The Tsori District will have construction of skiing routes as the best
place for such sports.
Yevkurov noted that the benefits of Ingushetia are all year round
tourism. The region offers skiing in winter and visits to parks,
memorials and mountains in summer.
