One soldier was killed in a firefight near the Zorkun highlands in Turkey's southern province of Osmaniye on Monday, Hurriyet Daily News reports.
Alleged members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), opened fire on Turkish soldiers who were deployed in the field, Osmaniye's Governor, Celalettin Cerrah, said in a statement.
