Russian president orders arrest of poachers on Caspian Sea

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev ordered the police and prosecutor
general to inspect the fishing complexes of Dagestan and the Kalmyk
Republic for poaching, RIA Novosti reports.


Medvedev had a meeting at Volga River estuary. The head of the Russian
Fishing Agency, Andrey Krayny, noted high poaching levels in Dagestan
and the Kalmyk Republic.
