Russian and Turkish presidents to discuss Nagorno-Karabakh peace process

Turkish President Abdullah Gul will discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh
problem with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, Zaman reports.


Gul will visit Russia for the Yaroslavl Global Political Forum on
September 7-8. German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Latvian President
Valdis Zatlers will also attend it.


Other topics at the forum will be the Iranian nuclear program and the
situations in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Egypt and Syria.

The political forum in Yaroslavl will be a platform for exchanging
views on the most pressing issues of modern policy. It is split into
three sections: “Democratic Institutions in Polyethnic Societies” to
discuss co-existence of ethnicities; “Rich and Poor: Where is
Fairness?” to discuss the strategy for economic development, and
management of conflicts in “Global Security and Local Conflicts”.
About 400 people will attend the forum. This includes scientists,
politologists, economists and business officials.
