Unknown assailants opened fire on law-enforcement personnel in
Makhachkala. One of them died, RIA Novosti reports citing a
law-enforcement spokesman.
The incident took place at 17.00 on the corner of Irchi Kazak Street
and Gamidoc Avenue.
“The police stopped a VAZ-21014 car to check documents. When the
policeman started approaching the vehicle, shots started coming from
the car. The law-enforcer died from bullet wounds on his way to
hospital”, the spokesman said.
The criminals abandoned the car and escaped, investigations are continuing.
