Russia urges non-interference in Libya's affairs

The Russian Foreign Ministry calls upon the international community not to interfere with Libya's "internal affairs," RIA Novosti reports.

"Regarding the current events, we urge all the states to refrain from meddling in Libyan internal affairs and assist the protection of civilians and the building of a legitimate authority in the country," the ministry said in a statement.

Moscow also expressed hope that the bloodshed in Libya will cease after the rebels take power.
