Gaddafi forces occupy Tripoli hotel with foreign journalists

About 35 foreign citizens, including journalists, are trapped by the forces of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi in the Rixos Hotel, the BBC correspondent Mathew Price, who is inside the building, reports.

“Armed men are walking the corridors, some of them seem to be soldiers of Gaddafi. Snipers are on the roof… Tension reigns here,” Price says. “Water and food are running short. In some parts of the hotel the electricity has not been cut. We hope the situation will be settled before it will be impossible to stay here.”
