Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says Tehran seeks full cooperation with Baghdad, reiterating that a stable Iraq would benefit Iran and the region, Iranian news agency Press TV reports on Thursday.
“Iran seeks all-out cooperation with Iraq in line with the interests of the two countries as well as regional peace and brotherhood,” President Ahmadinejad said at a meeting with Nechirvan Barzani, the deputy head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
He said that Iran supports a well developed and stable Iraq, adding that stability and progress of Iraq would be to the benefit of Iran and the region.
