Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich commented on Iran's decision to take Russia to the International Arbitration Court because of Russia's refusal to sign a contract concerning S-300 missile systems delivery to Iran, RIA Novosti reports.
According to Lukashevich, Russia respects Iran's position but does not understand why the country decided to take the matter to the court, when the two countries have such friendly relations.
Russia refused to sign the contract due to a UN Security Council resolution and there are no issues to discuss, Lukashevich added.
