Libyan embassy in Tehran removes Gaddafi's flag

The Libyan embassy in Tehran removed the former country's flag and joined the rebel movement, the embassy said in a statement carried by the Tehran press on Thursday, Trend reports.

The Libyan diplomatic mission said that the flag was replaced with the "independence flag with the writing 'long live Libya and its people' on it."

The mission declared its "absolute solidarity" with the opposition movement.
