Leader of Free Georgia Party Kakha Kukava, who is on a visit to Moscow, together with the President of the Georgian-Russian Foundation for Unity Vladimir Khomeriki met with the chief sanitary doctor of Russia Gennady Onishchenko, Trend reports.
According to the press center of the party, the sides discussed the prospects for return of Georgian products to Russia, including wine, mineral water and agricultural products.
"After the meeting, a joint statement was made to journalists. It was stated that all legal barriers for the import of Georgian products to Russia were lifted and the Georgian companies can begin the procedures related to exports," the press center of Free Georgia Party reported.
Onishchenko said earlier that the barriers to sale of Georgian products in Russia were imposed by the Georgian authorities.
