Two people, including the deputy plenipotentiary envoy of the president in the North Caucasus Federal District, Maxim Bystrov, were injured when a Mi-8 helicopter crashed in Arkhyz Gorge in Karachay-Cherkessia, RIA Novosti reports.
At 16:30 the Mi-8 helicopter, which belongs to Rosneft, crashed. The cause of the crash has not yet been established.
According to preliminary data, 10 people were aboard, including the crew.
Vestnik Kavkaza reported earlier that the chairman of the executive council of the Resorts of the North Caucasus, Ahmed Bilalov, was aboard. He was unhurt.
Izvestia reported that one of the deputies of Alexander Khloponin, Maxim Bystrov, was also aboard. Bystrov and the deputy of Bilalov, Vladimir Berezhnoy, were taken to the hospital.
