Iranian foreign minister invites Libyan NTC to visit Tehran

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi has invited the head of the
Libyan National Transitional Council (NTC), Mustafa Abdel Kalil, to
visit Tehran, RIA Novosti reports.


The telephone conversation of Salehi and Jalil is the first official
negotiation between Iran and the NTC after the capture of Tripoli by
rebels. Tehran supports the rebels.


The Iranian ambassador who left Libya will soon return, Salehi said.
Andel Jalil thanked Iran for its support and expressed hope for
improvement of bilateral ties.
