Iranian Rear-Admiral Habibilla Sayari, Commander of the Naval Forces,
said that Tehran plans to send its 15th fleet to the Red Sea and the
Gulf of Aden, Armenia Today reports.
The fleet will consist of combat vessels and submarines that will
demonstrate their patrolling abilities. Sayari said that they will
fight pirates, according to principles of Ayatollah Seyed Ali
Khamenei. The presence of the fleet is a message of peace and
friendship for all states, he added.
