Kazakhstan over recession

Kazakhstan is one of the few states that has overcome the global
recession, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the opening
of the fifth parliamentary session on Thursday, Trend reports.


The president said that Kazakh GDP increased by 7.1% in the first half
of 2011, industrial production increased by 8%. 152 enterprises were
opened for industrial development this year and 2004 will open. He
underlined that 20 years of independence allowed to achieve the
figures.


Nazarbayev reminded that the session will round up the work of the
parliament of the fourth calling. The parliament passed 141 bills and
ratified 76 international deals.
