Armenian Catholicos leaves for Karabakh

The head of the Armenian Church, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, has left on a two-day visit to Nagorno-Karabakh on Thursday to attend events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the unrecognized republic’s independence, News.am reports.

He is accompanied by the head of the French diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Norvan Zakarian, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of New Nakhijevan and Russia, Bishop Yezras Nersissian, Spiritual Primate of Armenia’s Armed Forces, Vrtanes Abrahamian, and Staff-bearer of His Holiness, Rev. Fr. Anania Tsaturian.
