IAEA calls on Iran to allow inspectors to visit nuclear facilities

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) called on Iranian authorities to allow inspectors to visit nuclear facilities of the Islamic republic, Trend reports.

According to the IAEA as of late August, uranium enriched to 20 percent was 70.8 kg in Iran, or 14.1 kg more compared to the last May report. Thus, Iran continues increasing the enriched uranium production despite the UN Security Council resolutions, the IAEA's report said.

The IAEA said that it intends to conduct inspections in all Iranian nuclear facilities, including a new facility in the city of Qom.

There is yet no Iran's reaction to the IAEA's demand.
