The recorder of the IL-76 which crashed in Afghanistan has been
delivered to Baku, the ANS Interstate Aviation Committee reports.
The first theory for the crash of the IL-76 of the Azerbaijani
airlines Silk Way in Afghanistan has been made public. The Civil
Aviation Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan told ANS Press
that according initial information, the crash did not occur due to the
illegal interference of external forces.
The crash occurred on July 6 at 00.10 Kabul time. The same day the
representative of the command of the allied coalition forces in
Afghanistan, British Major Tim James reported that the plane crashed
into a mountain at an altitude of about 3.8 thousand meters. However,
a number of Afghan media outlets reported that the plane was shot down
by Taliban forces.
