Turkish President Abdullah Gul has commented on the
Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh peace process and its talks with
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, MK and MK-Turkey report.

Gul discussed the topic on the eve of the Yaroslavl World Political
Forum. Gul underlined the special role of the South Caucasus, a
neighbor of Turkey and Russia. Turkey is devoted to peace, stability
and welfare, security and cooperation, the president said.

The Turkish approach to the problem coincides with the Russian one.
Progress may be achieved through a settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict.

Abdullah Gul underlined that Turkey is ready to provide all the
necessary support to find a solution to the problem and do all it
takes to resolve the conflict as soon as possible. Progress in this

not be a separate process, it needs a common regional approach, Gul
