A counter-terrorism regime has been imposed in three republics of the
North Caucasus – Chechnya, Kabardino-Balkaria and Ingushetia. Mass
special operations are held in the area, RIA Novosti reports.
A spokesman for the National Counter-Terrorism Committee (NCTC),
Nikolai Sintsov, said that three militants have been killed in the
villages of Ekazhevo and Orzhonikidzevskaya. One militant was
detained.
Musa Bulguchev was arrested on Vostochnaya Street in the village of
Orzhonikidzevskaya in the Sunzhensky District. He resisted arrest and
self-exploded. Another suicide blast was initiated by a man named
Albogachiyev on Lev Tolstoy Street.
No law-enforcer has been injured so far. The police are investigating
the shootout areas and uncovering major caches of weapons, ammunition
and explosives.
A counter-terrorism regime is in force in the Baksansky District in
the villages of Baksan, Baksanyonok and Dugulubgey.
Militants organized two attacks on September 7, resulting in the death
of a civilian and injuries to two police officers. The assailants
escaped.
