President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich, who arrived on an official two-day visit (12-13 September) to Ashgabat held talks on Monday, Trend reports citing official Turkmen sources.
Following the talks, the sides signed a package of agreements on cooperation in the sphere of education between the foreign ministries, academies of sciences and ministries of culture.
Today the Turkmen-Ukrainian business forum started its work.
According to Ukrainian media, in Turkmenistan Yanukovych is planning to discuss aspects of cooperation in the energy sector, in particular the possibility of Turkmen gas deliveries to Kiev.
