Azerbaijani Defense Minister Lieutenant-Colonel Safar Abiyev received Pakistani Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Inayatullu Kakari, on September 13, Trend reports.
Abiyev noted that Pakistan was the first state to recognize independence of Azerbaijan. The two states achieved a high level of military cooperation.
The sides exchanged views on the situation in the region, Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The ambassador noted emphasized that Pakistan has no ties with Armenia, that occupies Azerbaijani territories.
