Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will attend a session of the UN General Assembly in New York, spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Ramin Mehmanparast said, Trend reports.
Iranian president’s deputy head of the press-service, Mohammad Hassan Salehi, said that Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi will accompany Ahmadinejad.
The previous visit of Ahmadinejad to the UN General Assembly resulted in a scandal. The Iranian president accused the US administration of involvement in the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. The US delegation left the assembly during Ahmadinejad’s speech.
