The Russian Finance Ministry will pass a program for development of the North Caucasus in the near future, allowing the region to receive 5.5 trillion rubles, Minister for Regional Development Victor Basargin told the Izvestia newspaper.
Dagestan will receive 720 billion rubles of budget investments and 414 billion as non-budget. Chechnya will receive 423 billion rubles, Ingushetia – 365 billion, other regions – less.
Vestnik Kavkaza reported earlier that the Finance Ministry had not approved financing quantities of the program for development of the North Caucasian Federal District until 2025. A spokesman for the ministry said that expenses are either taken out of the context or the development policy emphasises separate regional clusters.
