Turkish prime minister to meet US president

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan is going to meet US President Barack Obama on Tuesday in order to discuss Israeli-Turkish relations, TRT reports.

Erdogan will leave for the USA tomorrow. The meeting was arranged at the US president's initiative. Previously, the Turkish authorities announced that Turkey doesn't need US mediation in its conflict with Israel.

"We do not need mediation (...) There is no such situation in which mediation is needed. The demands of Turkey are clear", Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said, referring to Turkey's long-standing demand that Israel apologize for the raid on the Freedom Flotilla, as well as pay compensation to the families of the nine Turks killed in the incident.
