Iran insists on fulfilment of S-300 deal with Russia

The deal on shipments of S-300 missile complexes with Russia must be fulfiled, Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said, IranNews reports.


Spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukashevich said in late August that fulfllment of the contract is impossible, due to Resolution 1929 of the UN Security Council and the President’s Decree 1154 of 22 September 2010, determining the implementation terms.


The head of Rosoboronexport, Anatoly Isaykin, said that talks on S-300 shipments with Iran are impossible with the UN sanctions in place.
