Baku opens TurkPA General Secretariat

An opening ceremony of the General Secretariat of the Turkic-speaking
countries' Parliamentary Assembly (TurkPA) was held in Baku on Monday,
reports Trend. Turkish Vice-Speaker Nevzat Pakdil and Azerbaijani
First Vice-Speaker Ziyafet Asgarov attended the ceremony.
Pakdil expressed hope that all Turkic-speaking peoples will become
even closer, developing cooperation in various fields.
The Turkish delegation headed by Pakdil visited the Martyrs' Alley, as
well as the Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of
Azerbaijan`s late president Heydar Aliyev
Pakdil noted the special role of Heydar Aliyev and Kazakh President
Nursultan Nazarbayev in the establishment of the TurkPA.
