Turkish General Staff reports on operation against Kurdish separatists

The Turkish General Staff has reported on the operation at Mount Kandil that started on August 17. Turkish air forces have destroyed 152 facilities of Kurdish separatists, Trend reports.

Air attacks were started after a terrorist attack in south-eastern Turkey, resulting in 9 servicemens' deaths.

The Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) has been striving for independence for over 25 years. The party has killed over 40,000 people. The UN and the EU recognize the PKK as a terrorist organization.
