Iranian military to hold major naval maneuvers

Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Navy will hold a major maneuver in the near future, Press TV cites a senior commander as saying.

Islamic Revolution Guards Corps' Navy Commander Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi said Thursday that the maneuver will be different compared to previous drills, adding that the country's latest achievements will be showcased during the exercises.

Fadavi made the remark on the sidelines of a major parade by Iran's Armed Forces to mark the 31st anniversary of eight years of defense against Iraq's invasion of the country.

He said that Iran has made considerable defense achievements compared to 30 years ago and is fully ready to protect its territory.
