Four explosions on Sunday rocked the Iraqi city of Karbala, around 118 kilometres south of the capital Baghdad, leaving an unspecified number of casualties, police sources said, Trend cites DPA.
The back-to-back explosions occurred outside a government building and damaged many cars, the sources added.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the blasts, which were caused by explosive packages, according to police.
Violence in Iraq had been steadily dropping after Sunni-Shiite bloodshed peaked in 2006.
