Georgian-American relations were discussed today in Washington by U.S.
by the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Georgian Foreign
Minister Grigol Vashadze. According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry,
the sides discussed the possibility of the Georgian-American meeting
within the framework of the Charter on strategic cooperation.
"The parties agreed to hold talks within the framework of the Charter
with the participation of all four groups," the Georgian Foreign Ministry
said.
Clinton and Vashadze discussed the further deepening of the
Georgian-American relations. U.S. Secretary of State reaffirmed the
U.S. commitment to the territorial integrity and the sovereignty of
Georgia.
