Gabala radar may continue Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation — Vladimir Yevseyev

In terms of defense and economics, the radar station in Gabala can be closed, Vladimir Yevseyev, Director of the Center for Public-Political Studies, told Vestnik Kavkaza. Russia may hand maintenance of the radar complex to Azerbaijani staff with the technical assistance of Russian specialists, as part of cooperation between Moscow and Baku, Yevseyev noted.

The expert believes that there should be clear goals, such as the formation of joint anti-missile systems. In this case, the Gabala radar station could be Azerbaijan's contribution to the system.
