Interior Minister of Kabardino-Balkaria Sergey Vasiliyev did not rule out terrorism activity due to the coming parliamentary polls and called for enforcement of security at polling stations, RIA Novosti reports.
Russian parliamentary polls will be held on December 4, 2011.
Vasiliyev noted that preparations for the polls are held under complicated conditions in the republic. Despite certain stabilization, there is information on militant activities.
The interior minister noted the need for the electoral commission of Kabardino-Balkaria to speed up the process of purchase and setting of security equipment, such as metal detectors and video monitoring.
