Iranian lawmakers are harshly criticising Saudi Arabia for helping the Bahraini and Yemeni regimes suppress protesters, demanding a UN probe into the human rights situation in the two countries, Press TV reports.
Two hundred and twelve members of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) called on the United Nations to stop Saudi Arabia's intervention in the internal affairs of Bahrain and Yemen in a statement issued on Wednesday.
“Killing the innocent people in these two countries and considering Saudi Arabian interests in the matter shows the weakness of these governments and its result will definitely be the spread of the Islamic Awakening of the people of these countries to finalize the fate of their rulers,” the Majlis' statement reads.
