The head of the Russian North Caucaisn republic of Dagestan, Magomedsalam Magomedov met today delegations of the Khrakh-Uba and Uryan-Uba settlements, Russian Information Agency Dagestan reports.
The meeting was attended by the republic's minister of national policy and religious affairs Bermurza Bekmurzayev.
Khrakh-Uba and Uryan-Uba villages are situated on the territory that now belong to Azerbaijan, though previously was a part of the Dagestani Republic. The Azerbaijani authorities ordered the population of the villages, who have Russian citizenship, to assume Azerbaijani citizenship or to leave for Russia.
The term of the Azerbaijani ultimatum ended in August 2011.
