Several thousand people gathered in central Yerevan to rally with the
opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC), headed by ex-President Levon
Ter-Petrosyan, News-Armenia reports.
At the previous opposition rally, which took place on September 23,
Ter-Petrosian once again demanded that the authorities organize early
parliamentary and presidential elections before the end of the year. The
next parliamentary elections in Armenia will be held in May 2012, and
presidential ones - in February 2013, RIA Novosti reports.
Coordinator of the ANC Zurabyan believes that dialogue with the authorities
is not yielding results and that the society needs to create a national
democratic movement.
