CIS countries can explore outer space together

The director of the Institute for Space Research, Lev Zeleniy, has proposed creating a single structure for cooperation between the CIS countries for joint exploration and basic research of outer space.

Zeleniy has called for investing funds in fundamental space research in Russia, RIA Novosti reports.

Zeleniy has also proposed creating a unified system of satellite monitoring of renewable resources, such as forests and agricultural and aquatic biological resources, on the basis of the CIS.
