Turkey wants Azerbaijan to take part in projects of the military industry, APA reports.
Turkey invited the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry to participate in the projects. Ankara is offering joint production of Altay tanks, ATAK helicopters, high-caliber ammunition, artillery, weapon systems, shipbuilding and advanced infantry rifles.
Baku may also purchase NATO-quality products at a lower price.
Protocols have been signed between the Azerbaijani ministry and the Turkish Organization for Equipment and the Chemical Industry for advanced rifle production, the ministry and ROKETSAN signed a deal on production of high-range 107 and 122 mm caliber ammunition.
Ankara will make official propositions as part of the visit of Turkish Minister for National Security Ismet Yilmaz to Baku on October 12.
